stacksim --- reads files from stacksim/test and generates stack fragments
             from them.  Used to test the stack simulator in complete isolation.

all --- reads modules from all/test.  Each test has several references which
	are dumps of the ktree at different points in the compilation cycle.

linklist --- tests the linklist interface, ensuring that it works
         properly in face of interwoven insertion, deletion, and iteration

workstar --- tests the WorkList, WorkSet, and TransientWorkSet interfaces,
         ensuring that they work properly in face of interwoven and duplicate
         insertions, removals, etc
